Sakonnet Greenway Trail

A 13.8 mile moderately trafficked loop trail that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking, running, nature trips, and bird watching. Turn right on Mitchells Lane towards Wyatt street and the parking lot will be on the right, about .4 miles.

Also known as Second Beach by the locals, a mile long, family friendly beach. There's a concession stand with food and bathing stations or you can act like a local and seat your self at "surfers end". Take surf lessons, grab a Dels lemonade, and enjoy the waves. It's about a 9 min car ride away.

Norman Bird Sanctuary

Norman Bird Sanctuary is a nonprofit wildlife sanctuary and environmental education center. with more than 300 acres of diverse habitats and 7 miles of hiking trails. The Hanging Rock Trail is a beautiful lookout over second beach and a must see.

Take a walk along the streets of Newport admiring all the sailboats in the bay. Stroll down Thames Street  Bellevue Ave to pop into a local boutique and stop to enjoy a little lunch. Travel up to Bellevue to drive past the Mansions. There is sure to be something for everyone.

Our Favorite Eats

Pasta beach

Authentic Italian cuisine in New England with chefs from all different regions of Italy. We highly suggest starting with the Pomodoro Bruschetta, having the Tagliatelle Asparagi e Prosciutto for dinner and ending the meal with Nutella Pizza.

Pour judgement

A fun, laid back bar located on broadway. Start off with beer on tap, the gauc and housemade chips, then the pour judgment burger or our personal favorite, the black bean burger! Anything will be great.

Diego's newport

A west coast mexican style restaurant. Grab a pitcher of blood orange margaritas, snack on some pulled pork nachos, enjoy the Cali burrito (that aioli) and end the meal with some warm churros. You won't be disappointed.

Surf club

Surf Club is an understated throwback to comfortable coolness. Located below the Newport Bay Club, Surf Club exudes natural wood tones with marble accents. Spicey watermelon margarita and a pizza anyone? Yep, its thats good.

A contemporary pub with 31 draft beers, and craft selections, with many Single Malts, Bourbons, & Irish Whiskeys. We recommend starting off with a Wild Child martini, tasting the Thai Shrimp Nachos, Steak Frites for dinner and enjoying the Malt Bomb for dessert!

Bar'cino

Bar'Cino is an informal neighborhood italian inspired spot in the heart of Newport’s historic Washington Square. Ever cut up a grilled pizza with kitchen scissors? Its the only way to do it. Enjoy a glass of red, sharing a grilled prosciutto & fig pizza, and then the rigatoni bolognese. 

Corner Cafe

A home away from home restaurant. Corner cafe serves an Irish, Portuguese and West Coast influenced meal as well as traditional breakfasts, lunch and dinner.
